Lara Field is dedicated veteran educator, and a current faculty member of both science and special
education departments at Stony Point High School in Round Rock. Areas of teaching certification are
Science, English Language Arts/Reading, Social Studies, and Special Education. Lara's passion is to
teach students how to identify, tap into, and utilize their own learning style to maximize the educational
experience. There IS a marked difference between truly learning/knowing vs. simply memorizing. There
is no one-size-fits-all to how we learn. Unfortunately, many teachers cling to the one-size-fits-all
teaching model, which data supports, simply does not work. The best defense is becoming a strategic
learner no matter the learning environment.

Scholars. Holding dual degrees in Sociology and Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in the
neuroscience of learning and behavior, she is looking forward to assisting our Cen-Tex families with
